A new approach to the language laboratory

The IESIG ‘s language laboratory is not a “lab” like others. It offers an innovating way of studying and learning French that will enable you to really improve your knowledge. Indeed, no such things as repeating sentences with your headphones.

The IESIG laboratory will give you a course that is adapted and tailored to you needs on every single linguistic skill (i.e: oral and written comprehensions, oral and written productions).

On your first coming to the course, you will do a test to determine your level and we will adapt the exercises to your needs and work on your linguistic weaknesses.

In the laboratory, you will find some grammar and conjugation softwares. They offer hundreds of corrected exercises which cover all levels of language difficulty.

Furthermore, you will be able to improve your spelling thanks to more than 80 dictations. You will also study on various websites with some corrected exercises that you will be able to work on also at home and some exercises that will be corrected with the teacher in class.

We do give an absolute priority to practice on authentic documents taken from daily life; that means to say that you will be encouraged to think, present, sum up and comment excerpts issued from the radio or the television.

Interaction and work in pairs

It goes without saying that you will not be left alone. You will be guided throughout your course and will be given very detailed and tailor-made explanations, exercises and classes according to your pace and progress.

Also, you will experience the work in pairs through role-plays and simulations of daily life situations.

All conversations of this type will be recorded on a MP3 and corrected carefully.
